FEDERAL MEETING: Amaechi Shun Jonathan?

Amaechi, other govs boycott Jonathan’s meeting
President Goodluck Jonathan last night held a closed door meeting with governors but mainly from the camp of the Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang.
The meeting was called to discuss the N60 billion from the Federation Account owed the states by the Federal Government.
The Governor of Rivers, Rotimi Amaechi was absent and so were the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors from Niger, Sokoto, Jigawa states and all the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) governors from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, Edo; All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) governors from Zamfara, Yobe and Borno as well as Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) governor from Nasarawa State.
Those who had arrived at House Seven venue of the meeting at the presidential villa at press time were the Pro-Jang governors, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Benue (deputy), Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Delta, Plateau, Kaduna, Katsina, Kogi, Taraba, Ondo, Imo (deputy), Bauchi and Gombe.
The crest on each governor’s official car was covered apparently to prevent the media from knowing who and who was around. Others attendees were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, and close presidential aides.
President Jonathan arrived the venue at 10 p.m. prompt accompanied by Vice President, Namadi Sambo and immediately went in. State House correspondents were warned sternly to steer clear of the venue as the meeting was said not to be for press coverage.
