BLOODBATH: Boko Haram Kill Over 50 In Nganzai?

Over 50 persons are said to have been killed in Gajiram town of Nganzai Local Government Area of Borno State.
Daily Post learnt that following this development, troops have taken over the local government.
A local, Malam Zannah Gajiram told newsmen in Maiduguri that the sect members have burnt down the Local Government Secretariat, a Junior Secondary School, 20 housing estates, Police Station and Military post, sacking the whole community.
According to him, the insurgents who stormed the town on Tuesday night, carried out operation up to Wednesday morning where they destroy almost all public buildings and houses belonging to politicians from the local government.
He said, “We learnt that, not less than 20 innocent civilians were killed by the insurgents while over 30 of the insurgents are said to have been killed when the military fighter helicopter arrived on Wednesday.
“As at yesterday (Thursday), the whole of Gajiram has been over taken. It is now under military control with serious house to house search operations going on; I cannot tell you whether or not there was arrest made as at the time we left Gajiram yesterday (Thursday), but I am sure the military would have made several arrest since the whole town is under their control now.”
In another development, suspected Boko Haram sect members were also said to have come out in hundreds blocking the Maiduguri, Biu high way, where they carried out operations, killing several innocent civilians including one Alhaji Mohammed Sani aka A.A Banje who is an adviser to Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima.
According to reports, trucks full of mobile police officers were detailed to the scene to check-mate the insurgents but were forced to return to Maiduguri as the insurgents were said to have overwhelmed them.
However, there was no confirmation from the police.
