FRAUD: Pastor And Co Nabbed Over Impersonation?

Kogi state police command has arrested a pastor of a new generation church and three others for impersonation, as operatives of Economic and Financial Crime Commission Abuja (EFCC) . They were alleged to have been ordered to investigate the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah.
While parading the four suspects and other suspects for different crimes, at the police command in Lokoja, the deputy commissioner of police, Mr Austin Evbakhavbokun, during press briefing, stated that the suspects were arrested at the federal polytechnic, Idah by his men when they were parading as EFCC officials from Abuja with the intention to extorting fund from the Rector.
Items recovered from some other paraded suspects are, two guns, one single barrel short gun, fifteen expanded cartridges, four live cartridges, two locally made pistols, GSM phones, plate numbers and two Toyota Camry cars.
The suspects Samuel Ogbebor, Daniel Njaiji, Peter Agwai, Jackson Umosen were said to have travelled from Abuja, in a Toyota Camry with registration number APP 630 BD to the Federal Polytechnic Idah in Kogi state, at first claiming to be officials from the federal ministry of education on routing inspection, later claimed to be EFCC operatives with the aim of extorting fund from the rector of the polytechnic. But they were apprehended by the police.
One of the suspects, Jackson Umosen, who hails from Akwa Ibom state and claimed to be a pastor of Alfa and Omega Ministry in Abuja, he claimed to be travelling with his friend with the intention to pray on a housing project, Peter Agwai is laying in his village, while the other three suspects have similar story of going to see a lecturer named Dr. Asuquo who we learnt left the school about 20 years ago.
The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Idah Mr Matthew Apata, narrated how the impersonators came, identifying themselves as EFCC officials and later demanded for money.
