Boko Haram operatives have shot and killed a senior police officer, Dahiru Musa Majiya.
He was killed in his home late Monday night in Kano.
Dahiru is an older brother of police spokesman Magaji Musa.
Source said Majiya was killed in his home at Sabon Gandu.
