Residents and traders in Minna trooped to the Livestock Market near PZ Area today when a human being like lamb was found in sheep slaughtered for sale in the market.
It was reliably gathered that the Ewe, which was bought on Monday from Kuta Market was to be slaughtered for sales as usual in the market when the owner one Alidu Maiyanka discovered the creature.
Daily Times was told that Alidu had slaughtered the Ewe about 10:30am today and had dissected it when he discovered the human like lamb and called the attention of his co-marketers to the wonder.
Alidu who said the incident was the one of the works of God’s unlimited power over all things refused to speak further on the issue.
One of the eye witnesses, Gombo Abubakar who is also a trader at the market told our Correspondent that the Ewe did not show any sign of pregnancy when it was brought.
He said that when as usual it was dissected to be butchered for sale Alidu saw the human like creature.
Speaking on the discovery, a Vetenary Surgeon and Clinician with Niger state Ministry of livestock and fishery Dr. Samuel Joseph said that it was possible to have such defect.
Joseph said such defect could occur as a result of exposure to Agro chemicals with adverse effect growth in such circumstances.
He disagreed that the discovery could have a spiritual purpose saying that it was possible scientifically and when followed scientifically, investigations could show the causes.
