AT LAST: Governor Suntai Is Back

The Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Danbaba Suntai arrived Abuja on Sunday after several months of absence from his duty post.
Suntai had received treatment in a hospital in Germany after which he was moved to the United States for special attention following a crash involving his self-flown aircraft last year.
Governor Suntai arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on board a chartered flight around 13.30 Hrs on Sunday.
His wife had announced last week that the Governor would arrive the country on Sunday. Speculations over his state of health continued as he was assisted off the Gulfstream aircraft by three men after which he was driven in a Sport Utility Vehicle.
He was received at the airport by members of the Peoples Democratic Party.
His supporters are of the opinion that having been certified okay by medical personnel, he should resume duties soon. Those who were on hand to receive the Governor included Professor Jerry Gana and Alhaji Idris Waziri, a former Minister of Industries.

Contrary to propangada served by his wife and political supporters, the governor could not stand or walk on his own. He was not allowed to address the media except photographers ushered in to take photos of him at the VIP lounge. The brain-damaged governor has now left Abuja for Jalingo, the state capital of Taraba.
