SHOCKING: Coach Sacked Over Nigeria, Spain Match?

Gus Poyet was sacked as Brighton boss Sunday night — while working on live television.
He found out he had lost his job while covering the Confederations Cup clash between Spain and Nigeria for the BBC.
Poyet, who is determined to appeal the decision, blasted: “I think the BBC has a great story. A manager getting information he has been relieved of his job by the BBC during a programme is quite surprising, “I still have had no communication, no text, and no email. I am probably the first one to be in this position. I think everyone can take their own conclusion about the way I have been informed.”
He added: “The only thing I am concentrating on is appealing because it is the right thing to do.”
SunSport revealed details of how Poyet was suspended after Brighton’s Championship play-off semi-final defeat to Crystal Palace last month and the discovery of human excrement in Palace’s Amex Stadium dressing room.
The club statement read: “Gus Poyet has been informed by the club’s internal disciplinary panel that his employment has been terminated with immediate effect.
“This followed his suspension, an investigation, and a subsequent formal disciplinary process.”
Brighton have offered former Barcelona midfielder, Oscar Garcia a two-year contract to replace Poyet as manager.
Poyet took charge of the Seagulls in 2009 and led them to promotion from League One.
